The reconstruction of Roņu Street and the landscaping of the adjacent territory in Liepāja is one of the most significant urban environment and coastal infrastructure projects. It transformed an unkempt former industrial zone into a modern, publicly accessible recreation area and a convenient access point to the Baltic Sea. The project included the creation of a well-equipped pedestrian and bicycle promenade, harmoniously connecting the city center with the beach. Wooden boardwalks and viewing platforms built at the end of the street ensure easy access to the sea for parents with strollers and people with mobility impairments. Alongside the pedestrian infrastructure, the roadway surface was fully renovated, modern LED lighting was installed, and underground utilities were organized. The area was also enhanced with designer benches, bicycle racks, and plantings characteristic of coastal dunes.
