An innovative, energy-efficient, and Latvia’s first two-story kindergarten built entirely of wood.
The landscape for children’s harmonious development provides an opportunity to sense the surrounding world using not only the five classical senses but also the sixth, previously undervalued sense – balance. The territory is designed by allocating maximum space for greenery and children’s activity zones, with hard surfacing provided only in functionally necessary areas. Natural materials are used in the playgrounds, creating a suitable and healthy environment for children and planning the kindergarten so that every student feels at home.
